Dear Students,

The Capital Maharaja Group (CMG) is excited to invite esteemed universities, campuses, and tertiary education institutes (University, Faculty of a University, Degree awarding higher education institutes) across Sri Lanka to participate in the Inter-University Debates, scheduled for the third consecutive year at the Capital Maharaja Head Office Auditorium from 21st October 2024 to 10th December 2024, in celebration of Human Rights Day.

The series of debates will feature thematic areas related to the advancement of human rights, and we are pleased to announce that there will be a special online briefing session prior to the debates. This session will provide an overview of the format, rules, and other important details. Additionally, we will conduct a digital toss, leading up to the debates and culminating in the Grand Finale and Prize-Giving Ceremony at Stein Studios, Ratmalana on 10th December, which will be attended by distinguished dignitaries from the fields of law and human rights.

This event presents an invaluable opportunity for students and institutions to showcase their talent and professionalism while gaining greater exposure to the field of human rights. The debates will be conducted in English, Sinhala, and Tamil.

If you wish to participate, please fill the attached Team Application Form and email to che@cmg.lk with a copy to lakmi.h@cmg.lk by 11th October 2024.
