There are incidents reported about dog bites and rabies-positive dogs at University Premises. It is also reported that some students are not taking proper treatments for dog bites. I am writing this note with a special reference to the previous discussion at the Senate on this and notices sent by the Vice Chancellor, PHI, and Chief Medical Officer on feeding stray dogs at UoR premises. Please discourage feeding stray dogs at Faculty Premises and advise students & staff to keep away from stray dogs.
We will make a special awareness campaign on this through the Medical Centers and Student Affairs Branch.
